Now back to your regularly scheduled WODs

The past two weeks have been kind of "off" weeks for me at Crossfit. One week I went home to Texas, so I missed the whole second half of workouts (Thursday-Saturday); and then this past week was Thanksgiving, so the gym was closed...until TODAY!!! HOORAY, back on!!!!

And so it begins...

A little over 4 months ago, I made the decision to join Crossfit. I still remember the first few weeks of feeling utterly nauseous from nerves and anxiety every time I pulled into the parking lot, not knowing what to expect from the workout of the day (WOD).

What I also didn't expect was the friendly and encouraging atmosphere that welcomed me every class. Even though I was a "newbie," I was treated like I had been going to the gym forever. It was hard to leave my friends at Crossfit Central after my first month, but when I made the big move up north to Minnesota, I was so thankful to have Crossfit Minneapolis help me make the transition to my new home.

Crossfit really is a COMMUNITY of athletes...and inspiring, talented, and motivated individuals. I'm excited to be continuing on this journey, and I hope you'll enjoy following my workouts, progress, maybe some recipes, and the achievement of my ultimate goal: becoming certified as a Level 1 and Crossfit Kids coach. I want to give back to the community at large, especially through educating young children and teens, what the Crossfit community has bestowed on me - motivation, determination, strength, and fitness.
